Reading Pagoda
2008 – 2009 · Mount Penn, Reading, PA
The Reading Pagoda, perched atop Mount Penn, is one of Pennsylvania's most recognizable landmarks. HY Pressure Washing & Painting was entrusted with its extensive interior and exterior restoration — a project that demanded meticulous craftsmanship and deep respect for the structure's 1910 heritage.
Exterior Restoration
Complete exterior surface painting including eaves and soffit restored to the original 1910 color scheme, preserving the Pagoda's historic character for future generations.
Interior & Public Areas
Interior walls, ceilings, floors, and public area steps all received expert surface preparation and finish coats to restore the space to its original grandeur.
Oak Woodwork Restoration
Hand-sanding of solid oak woodwork on the observation deck to carefully remove decades of carved graffiti and restore the original finish — painstaking work requiring exceptional skill.
